“ A few months ago my wife and I had lunch at Don Chilito's and I posted a review. On May 5, I received an email from Yelp HQ notifying me that they had removed my review. This is part of that email: "We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed your review of Don Chilitos Mexican Restaurant because it wasn't clear that your review described your firsthand experience as a customer of the business." I replied asking for a better explanation but have not heard back from Yelp HQ. In my original review I gave Don Chilito's 5 stars and admitted that they are probably not really deserving but I wanted to counter-balance a number of 1-star reviews written by Yelpers who obviously have never eaten there. Go ahead and scroll on down--there are a bunch of them. Were those reviews removed? Obviously not! Here's the deal: The management at this restaurant was not requiring employees or patrons to wear masks and a number of whiney Yelpers got their panties in a wad and decided to weaponize Yelp to express their faux moral superiority. But Yelp HQ decided to remove my review but not the others. Go figure. We've eaten at DC's dozens of times including our January 16 visit that I reviewed here on Yelp. We had chips, guacamole, burritos and sopapillas. Everything was very good and service was friendly and helpful. Yelp: Before you censor this review, wanna see my reciept? ”
“ We support this business because they are supporting our freedom and liberty to make our own decisions regarding the risk surrounding the China virus. We believe in personal responsibility. If you do not feel comfortable eating here without the mask mandate, then stay away. Wearing a mask is like putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes. We live in Lee's Summit and drive the extra miles to say NO to masks and NO to government over reach and overreaction. Try the street tacos ... delicious! Wash them down with a margarita... even better! ”
“ You can't.go wrong at a place that covers their food in a gallon of cheese sauce. Texas Bigtop ground beef burrito was delicious and the CCQ sauce is awesome. Chips and salsa bar is great by itself and then sopapillas for desert in the salsa bar as well. Great throwback place with great food. ”
